BHUBANESWAR: An art exhibition and a discussion on art education marked the second foundation day celebration of the city-based Kalinga College of Art here on Wednesday.
The exhibition and discussion were hosted at the Odisha Modern Art Gallery.
The exhibition showcased paintings, sketches and sculptures by 40 students of the college.
Former Director of the Department of Culture Amarendra Patnaik and Principal of Baleswar College of Art Nikunja Bihari Das were the special guests of the celebration who inaugurated the exhibition and felicitated the participating artists.
Founder of Kalinga College of Art and former Secretary of Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi Tarakant Parida was also present on the occasion who offered welcome note.
Among others, faculty members of the college that included Narottam Das, Siddharth Roy, Niharika Patnaiuk, Chitra Mishra, Sudip Barik, Arabinda Das and Ghanashyam Parida were present.
