Humanity During Cyclone: Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi spoke to Asha Didi Shivani Mandal of Rajnagar Group Health Center of Kendrapada District over telephone this afternoon and thanked her for showing true humanity during the cyclone.
It is worth noting that Asha Didi Shivani Mandal of Kendrapada district took the responsibility of safely shifting the people of Khasamunda village to the shelter before the cyclone. He has performed this responsibility beautifully. An elderly woman in the village was suffering from paralysis and could not go to the shelter due to heavy rains. Shivani Didi carried the old woman on her back to the shelter, which was two kilometer from her house and became an inspiration to all in the field of duty.
After talking to Chief Minister Asha Didi on phone, it was learned that she had carried a total of 7 adults and 2 pregnant women on her back to the shelter that day. Appreciating his dedicated service, the Chief Minister said that the government and I personally are very happy with your work.

The Chief Minister understood the plight of his family and ordered the Rajnagar Vidyalaya over the phone to provide him with a house immediately as he did not have a house. Along with this, the Chief Minister has also promised to provide other necessary assistance to Shivani.
After this news was published, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling , MLA and district administration congratulated Shivani. Health Minister has written that it is the responsibility and duty of the government to protect every life during natural calamities. Shivani’s efforts to ensure the safety of a precious life is an inspiration to all.
The Chief Minister also posted on social media and wrote, Matru Shakti has come forward for the security of the state. Shivani’s bravery to protect people from the storm is an inspiration to all.
