Maharashtra Election 2024

Maharashtra Election 2024: Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Bharatiya Janata Party’s manifesto, known as Sankalp Patra, on Sunday for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 in Mumbai.

The BJP manifesto also discussed initiatives such as a skill census, the Shivaji Maharaj Centre for startups, incubation centres, and interest-free loans.

Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, and other party leaders were also present at the event.

The BJP is contesting the elections in alliance with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) as the Mahayuti alliance.

Speaking at the event, Amit Shah emphasized the ruling alliance’s dedication to the welfare of farmers, women, and the underprivileged.

He stated, “The Mahayuti government has been focused on earning the respect of farmers, supporting the poor, and safeguarding the dignity of women. The Sankalp Patra presented today reflects the aspirations of the people of Maharashtra.”

He went on to say, “Maharashtra has been at the forefront of many movements throughout history. It was here that the Bhakti movement began, the fight for freedom from slavery was ignited by Shivaji Maharaj, and the social revolution took root. The Sankalp Patra mirrors the aspirations of Maharashtra’s people.”

He also reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to making India the world’s third-largest economy by 2027.

The Assembly polls in Maharashtra will be held in a single phase on November 20, and votes will be counted on November 23.
