Lgas Festival: Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the celebrations of the Igas festival at the residence of Lok Sabha MP from Uttarakhand, Anil Baluni, in New Delhi yesterday. Igas is a traditional festival of lights of Uttarakhand. In a social media post, Mr. Modi extended his congratulations to his fellow countrymen and the people of Uttarakhand on this occasion. He expressed hope that this festival would bring happiness, prosperity, and well-being to everyone’s lives.
The Prime Minister said, the government is committed to advancing development alongside heritage. He emphasized that the Igas festival, which was almost extinct is once again becoming a focal point of faith for people in Uttarakhand.
He praised the people of Uttarakhand for their efforts to keep the tradition of Igas alive. Mr. Modi noted that the large-scale celebration of this holy festival across the country is direct evidence of these efforts. He expressed confidence that this legacy of Devbhoomi will continue to flourish. Union Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda also attended the Igas program at Mr. Baluni’s residence.
