East Coast Railway (ECoR) celebrated the International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm and participation at the Railway Indoor Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. The event was led by Shri Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager of East Coast Railway, and witnessed active involvement from a large number of railway employees and senior officials.
The session focused on promoting the importance of yoga in everyday life and encouraging railway employees to incorporate its practice into their routines for better health, concentration, and workplace well-being.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Funkwal highlighted the benefits of yoga, emphasizing its role in enhancing mental clarity, reducing stress, and improving physical fitness. “Yoga brings inner peace and improves focus, which in turn supports productivity and well-being at the workplace. For railway employees, it offers a much-needed balance in today’s fast-paced work environment,” he said.
Participants performed a series of asanas and breathing exercises under the guidance of trained yoga instructors, marking the global occasion with energy and commitment.
The celebration reflects East Coast Railway’s continued efforts to promote wellness and mindfulness among its workforce as part of a healthy and productive organizational culture.
