Adani Meets Odisha CM: Renowned industrialist and Chairman of the Adani Group, Shri Gautam Adani, today paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi at the State Guest House. During the meeting, both leaders discussed the industrial development of the state.
The discussion primarily focused on industry-led growth, production of green and renewable energy, and the establishment of a coal gasification plant. Notably, following the Utkal Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave, the state government under the leadership of the Chief Minister has been emphasizing the acceleration of industrial development in the state.
Recently, the state government has signed a concession agreement for the development of Gopalpur Port. Under this agreement, the Adani Group is investing ₹16,554 crore, which will enhance the cargo handling capacity of Gopalpur Port to 50 million metric tonnes. The project also holds the potential to create around 5,000 job opportunities.
Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Ahuja and Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department Shri Hemant Sharma, among others, were present during the discussions.
