Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University has instituted the SOA Yuva Sahitya Puraskar from this year to recognize and encourage outstanding young talent in Odia literature.
The award seeks to honour remarkable works across genres such as poetry, fiction, drama, and literary criticism, and carries a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, along with a citation and a shawl.
With this initiative, SOA aims to celebrate the creative promise of young Odia writers and nurture the literary voices of the future.
For SOA Yuva Sahitya Puraskar 2025, applications are invited from Odia authors who are 40 years of age or younger as of January 1, 2025. Submissions may be made either by the authors themselves or by their publishers. Each entry should include two copies of the submitted book, along with a self-attested copy of a valid proof of date of birth ( If submitted by the publisher, an affidavit confirming the author’s age must also be provided)—such as an Aadhaar card, passport, driving license, or voter ID.

Engineering, Management, Pharmacy and Hotel Management Programs have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), Govt. of India. The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and its undergraduate programme – B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture have been accredited by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The Faculty of Medical Science has been accredited by NABH and the laboratories by NABL.
SOA has been recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India and has also received UGC Section 12(B) status. It has been awarded Dimond University Rating for outstanding performance by QS-I-GAUGE and is recognized as Institution of Happiness (IOH) in the University & College category by QS-I-GAUGE.
