Maharashtra Agriculture Department has unveiled a new logo and slogan marking its first visual identity revamp in 38 years. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis released the new emblem in Mumbai yesterday, in the presence of Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, and Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharne.

The slogan – “Sashwat Sheti, Samruddha Shetkari” or “Sustainable Farming, Prosperous Farmer”, was chosen through an open state-wide competition that drew over 1,700 entries.

Mr Fadnavis said the new emblem symbolises the government’s commitment to modern, technology-driven farming. Mr Shinde and Mr Pawar lauded the initiative as a step towards empowering farmers.
