East Coast Railway: Shri Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager of East Coast Railway, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Titlagarh-Sambalpur Railway Section today. The inspection focused on reviewing the safety measures, traffic facilities, passenger amenities and the ongoing infrastructure works across several stations in the section.
During the inspection, Shri Funkwal thoroughly reviewed the status of various traffic facility works, passenger amenities and infrastructure development projects at key stations along the route, including Titlagarh, Badmal, Balangir, Barpali, Hirakud and Sambalpur. The General Manager emphasized the importance of ensuring safe and smooth train operations and directed officials to take necessary precautions.
Shri Funkwal also reviewed the progress of several ongoing infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing passenger facilities. These include improvements in parking areas, circulating areas, and landscaping at stations. He particularly focused on the progress of station redevelopment works under the Amrit Station Scheme, which aims to elevate passenger experience across the network.
The General Manager also stressed the timely completion of these critical projects, underscoring their significance in improving overall service quality for passengers.
Shri Subash C Chaudhary, Divisional Railway Manager, Sambalpur and other senior officials from East Coast Railway were present during the inspection and contributed to the discussions on project timelines and safety measures.
This inspection is part of ECoR’s ongoing efforts to upgrade facilities and improve operational efficiency across its network.
