‘TechnoSports’: India’s fastest growing activewear brand Technosport has announced the launch of its first Exclusive Brand Outlet (EBO) in Odisha at Pluto Mall, Rourkela. The new store, spread over 3419 sq ft on the 2nd floor of the mall located at Unit-4, marks a major milestone in the brand’s ongoing retail expansion journey as it continues to strengthen its offline presence in emerging Indian markets.

With the launch of the Rourkela EBO, Technosport’s national network has expanded to over 35 stores, reflecting a strong presence in Tier 2 cities and emerging industrial towns as part of its national expansion strategy. This EBO-financed model enables strong brand visibility, improved consumer experience, and better control over merchandising and margins, making it the centerpiece of the company’s offline growth roadmap.

Speaking at the launch of the store, Pushpen Maiti, CEO, TechnoSports said, “The launch of our exclusive brand outlet in Rourkela marks a significant step in strengthening TechnoSports’ position in the high-potential Tier 2 and industrial markets. Odisha has consistently been one of our strongest states, supported by high consumer brand recall and deep retail strength. This store allows us to establish closer ties with the markets and expand our organized retail presence in Eastern India.”

Odisha continues to be one of TechnoSports’ most important markets from a business perspective. The general trade brand continues to be the largest operating channel and Odisha is among the strongest markets nationally in this segment. Continuing its long-standing commitment to the state, TechnoSports last year signed an MoU with the Odisha Government and announced an investment of Rs 100 crore to set up a state-of-the-art activewear manufacturing facility. The Amagi unit, which will be part of a world-class industrial estate, is expected to generate employment for over 1,000 employees, contributing to the industrial and economic development of the state.

Odisha is considered one of the most talented destinations in India for stitching and tailoring talent, whose workforce is deeply involved in sportswear production. The availability of a skilled workforce along with a supportive industrial infrastructure, especially women workers in the garment sector, makes the state a natural fit for TechnoSports’ long-term manufacturing and supply chain strategy.

The Rourkela outlet showcases Technosport’s latest performance and athleisure collection designed for everyday training and all-day comfort. Keeping the hot and humid climate in mind, its assortment includes lightweight quick-dry training T-shirts, breathable polos, stretch joggers, shorts, etc. in fresh seasonal colours, along with upgraded fabric technology with anti-odour and improved durability properties.

Looking ahead, Technosport aims to expand to 50 EBOs across India by the end of the current financial year and continue its cluster-based expansion in high-growth Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Within Odisha, its goal is to strengthen its presence in Bhubaneswar after cities like Cuttack, Berhampur and Sambalpur as part of its regional expansion strategy.
