Odisha Textbook Errors: Taking the issue of errors in textbooks from class 1 to 8 seriously, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi today took an important decision in this regard and ordered a criminal investigation into the entire process. Along with this, he has specifically directed the SCERT Director to file an FIR with the Crime Branch SP.
Earlier, the Chief Minister had formed a committee under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner to investigate the reasons for the errors in the textbooks. According to the report of this committee, 3 Assistant Directors including the former Director of SCERT were suspended and disciplinary action was ordered against 6 Assistant Directors.
