Smoke Detected in Dhauli Express: Smoke was noticed emanating from the SLRD (Seating-cum-Luggage Rake) coach of Train No. 12821 Dhauli Express at Markona Railway Station at around 10:45 PM on 26 July 2026.
As a precautionary measure, the train was detained at Markona Station and Railway officials immediately attended the situation. After ensuring the safety of passengers and completing the necessary checks, the affected SLRD coach was detached from the train.
The train resumed its onward journey safely from Markona Station at 11:52 PM after detachment of the affected coach.
No injuries to passengers or railway staff have been reported. The cause of the smoke is being examined.
