Bhubaneswar: A talented officer of Odisha Police, Crime Branch IG Safin Ahmed, has passed away. He was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment in Kerala. Safin Ahmed was a talented IPS officer of the 2003 batch. He had earlier worked in various districts with the SP of Berhampur. His demise is an irreparable loss for Odisha Police.
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has expressed grief over Safin’s demise. He said that Safin\’s untimely demise has left me stunned. His service to Odisha Police will be remembered forever. May God grant his family patience in this hour of grief. May his immortal soul rest in peace. Similarly, many ministers and leaders of the Odisha Ministry have expressed grief.
