Invest Odisha: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has embarked on a five-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attract investments and promote Odisha as a leading investment destination.
During the UAE visit, the Chief Minister will meet global investors, industrialists and business leaders to explore investment opportunities in Odisha. He will also interact with the Odia diaspora and highlight the state’s rapid industrial and economic development.
The Chief Minister will travel to New Delhi before proceeding to Abu Dhabi. On September 9, he is scheduled to meet senior representatives of global companies and business organisations, including International Holding Company (IHC), the Indian Business and Professional Group and Borouge, a leading petrochemical company.
An exhibition showcasing products from Odisha under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative is also scheduled to be inaugurated in Dubai.
On September 10, CM Majhi will meet UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of the Council of International Investments Abdullah bin Taq Al Marri. He will also hold discussions with senior representatives of the Indian Business and Professional Council and Emirates Global Aluminium.
A roundtable meeting with the Middle East Recycling Association and discussions with the Odisha business delegation are also part of the visit.
On September 11, the Chief Minister will participate in the Odisha Investors Meet in Dubai, where he will showcase the state’s investment potential and discuss opportunities with leading industrialists and prospective investors. CM Majhi will also engage with the Odia diaspora in the UAE and call for stronger trade, investment and cultural ties between Odisha and the UAE. The Chief Minister is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar on September 12.
The UAE visit is part of the Odisha government’s efforts to attract major investments and accelerate industrialisation in the state. CM Majhi has previously undertaken investor outreach visits to various states in India and Singapore.
The Odisha government expects the UAE visit of Chief Minister Mohan Majhi to open new avenues for investment and further strengthen Odisha’s position as an emerging industrial hub. The Chief Minister is accompanied by the Industries Minister, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department and other senior officials of the Odisha government.
