Chintan Shivir 2026: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways will organise a two day Chintan Shivir in Gujarat from tomorrow. The conclave will bring together senior representatives from the Centre, States and implementing agencies to deliberate on key issues concerning the development and delivery of highway infrastructure in the country.

The Ministry said that the conclave will focus on identifying key implementation challenges and deliberating on innovative and replicable approaches. It will also focus on policy and institutional interventions to improve project delivery, quality, safety and efficiency in the highway sector.The inaugural session of the Chintan Shivir will feature addresses by Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Ministers of State Ajay Tamta and Harsh Malhotra.

A delegation from Odisha led by Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan has traveled to Gujarat to participate in this conclave. The delegation includes Principal Secretary of the Works Department Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Engineer-in-Chief (Civil) Er. Satyabrata Behera, Chief Engineer (Capital Projects, Ahmedabad) Er. Patanjali Mishra, and Chief Engineer (National Highway-1) Er. Key figures include Narayan Patel, Chief Engineer (Roads-1 & 2) Er. Shibabrata Taria, and OBCC Chief Engineer Er. Ramachandra Sethi.
