Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Assam today to take part in campaigning for second phase polls in the state. Modi is scheduled to address two election rallies in the state. He will attend a rally at Kamalpur, under Mangaldai Parliamentary constituency, and canvass for BJP candidate Dilip Saikia. In the second rally in the state, Modi will drum up support for party nominee Dr Rajdeep Roy. Polling for first phase election in five constituencies of the state is underway today. The second phase polling in five more constituencies is slated on April 18, while the third and final phase polling in remaining four constituencies in the state will be on April 23. Counting of votes will be undertaken on May 23.
