Three labourers were killed and two others seriously injured as the goods autorickshaw in which they were travelling was hit by a tanker lorry at Koottilangadi here early on today.
Police said the accident occurred when the labourers were on their way in the goods autorickshaw for a concrete work nearby.
The tanker lorry hit the goods autorickshaw on the highway when the latter is coming out of a petrol bunk after filling fuel.
The deceased were identified as as S K Sadath (40) S K Sabeer Ali (42) and Saidul Khan (57), all hailing from West Bengal.
The injured were admitted in a hospital, police added. (UNI)
