While several labour organisations are celebrating the May Day across the country, there hundreds and thousands of hapless daily wage earners, are not aware of such Day dedicated to them.
A 60-year-old daily wage earner, Dhasharath, who is struggling hard to earn a mean per day for himself and his family members was engaged in his routine work of a stone grinder, in the city, without knowing the fact a day in a year has been dedicated to Labors in the world.
Speaking with UNI he said that “I am doing this work for the last thirty years, I was started this work from thirty years, demand for stone grinder is dwindling as people are getting used to Electric mixer grinders”.
People buy Our product only special occasions like House opening, marriage functions , he said Replying to questions, Dasharath said that they have to procure raw-stone blocks from outside and the cost of transportation is also expensive.
