Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his victory and further expressed that he will be looking forward to work together for the betterment of the people of the national capital.
”I congratulate Sh Narendra Modi for this historic win and look forward to working together for the betterment of the people of Delhi.”, Kejriwal wrote on Twitter.
Earlier in the day, on behalf of AAP , party’s national spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj also congratulated PM Modi for the win and for becoming the PM again. Bharadwaj said that in a democracy it is the people’s mandate that holds all the weight and further hoped that the Prime Minister will do good work in the tenure to come.
The BJP is looking forward to win all seven seats in Delhi as per the counting of votes so far in the day. The NDA is in a massive lead that is beyond majority mark, this time even more than the 2014 verdict.
Reacting to the counting of votes , former AAP leader Ahish Khaitan has said that now there will be more expectations from the PM in his second term that include bigger & bolder economic reforms, substantial reduction in red-tapism & trimming down of the domineering bureaucracy, crackdown on corruption, preserving institutional integrity & social fabric and relief from farm distress.
He also upheld PM’s message of Sabka saath + Sabka Vikas + Sabka Vishwas = Vijayi Bharat, and said that ”A very positive message. Heartening to see key terms like ‘together’, ‘grow’ & ‘inclusive’ figuring so prominently in PM’s messaging. Hope PM will put this into full implementation. A strong, inclusive & prosperous India is a project which needs all hands on deck,” Mr Khaitan tweeted in response to PM Modi’s message on twitter.
Meanwhile, national secretary of the Communist Party of India Atul Kumar Anjan, while reacting to the poll results so far, took a dig at the Congress. He said that ”opposition’s situation at present is that the Grand Old Party rattled the unity of the opposition.”
Further attacking Congress president Rahul Gandhi, he said that his policies weakened opposition unity and opened the way for Modi’s victory. He said that Modi fought on the basis of all sorts of narrow-mindedness, especially the ethnic and religious conservatories.
