The Government is closely monitoring the situation due to Cyclone ‘Vayu’ in Gujarat and other parts of the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday
Packing 150-kmph winds, the extremely powerful cyclone is heading towards Gujarat and is expected to make landfall tomorrow morning.
Modi said he is in constant touch with the state governments and National Disaster Response Force and other agencies are working round the clock to provide all possible assistance.
‘’The Central Government is closely monitoring the situation due to Cyclone Vayu in Gujarat and other parts of India. I have been constantly in touch with State Governments. NDRF and other agencies are working round the clock to provide all possible assistance,’’the PM tweeted.
He said that the Government and local agencies are providing real-time information to people in affected areas.
