Seven children drowned in a pond at Doila village under Isuapur police station in Saran district today. Police said here that 10 children were taking bath in the pond when they entered into deep water leading to drowning of seven children. Sources said three children were saved from drowning.
Police said the bodies of all seven children had been recovered. The deceased children had been identified as Raju Nat (10) and Suraj Nat (8), sons of Kishan Nat, Raja Nat (12) and Timan Nat (10), sons of Munna Nat, Jeetu Nat (13), son of Jitendra Nat, Arjun Nat (11), son of Virendra Nat and Satyam Nat (13), son of Pujan Nat.
The bodies had been sent to Chhapra Sadar Hospital for autopsy, police added.
