Unnao survivor accident: Accused still in BJP, justice by govt in question, says Priyanka

Congress General Secretary of East Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday lashed out at the Yogi Adityanath government, over the accident, in which a rape survivor was critically injured and expressed suspicion on justice from the BJP government, when the rape accused was still in the ruling party. She also asked the BJP government, why the security of the woman and the witness were not proper.

In a tweet,  Vadra said, “It is surprising to know about the accident of a rape victim. What is the progress of the CBI probe and why the accused MLA was still in BJP. Besides why laxity in the security of the victim and other witnesses in the rape case.”
“How can anyone think of any justice from the BJP government till these questions are being answered,” she added.

The Unnao rape survivor was critically injured, while two of her aunts were killed in a road accident in Rae Bareli on Sunday. The survivor was given security round the clock, but during the accident, no security personnel were present
Her family alleged that BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Senger was behind the accident, as they were regularly being threatened, to withdraw their charges.
