Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday condemned the raids by the CBI and Enforcement Directorate on residence of senior party leader and former Union Minister P Chidambaram.
Condemning the raids by the agencies on Chidambaram’s residence , Rahul Gandhi charged the Narendra Modi government of using the CBI, ED and a section of the media for character assassination of Chidambaram.
‘Modi’s Govt is using the ED, CBI & sections of a spineless media to character assassinate Chidambaram. I strongly condemn this disgraceful misuse of power.,’Rahul said in a tweet. His sister and AICC general secretary for Uttar Pradesh east Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also condemned the raids on the residence of P Chidambaram.

CBI and ED on Tuesday raided the residence of P Chidambaram after’the Delhi High Court rejected his plea for anticipating bail in the INX media case. Chidambaram has moved the Supreme Court against the Delhi High Court order.
