Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday slammed Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and said that the opposition parties do not need an astrologer to tell them that their wave across the state has ebbed.
Mr Fadnavis said so while briefing media on the success of ‘Mahajanadesh Yatra and told that it has received an overwhelming response by the masses. The yatra is a procession carried out in various districts to highlight BJP’s five years of work in the state in the run up to the upcoming Assembly elections in October. The yatra has covered 83 state Legislative Assembly across 2,443 km till Sunday.
Further attacking the opposition, Mr Fadnavis said, “Vanchit Bhahujan Aghadi has emerged as team ‘A’, Congress and NCP have receded to team ‘B’. Speaking on shortage of potable water in Latur of Marathwadad region, the CM said, “the state government is taking permanent measures to deal with the situation.”
Referring to the prevailing drought-like situation in Marathwada, Chief Minister reiterated that the out of 300 TMC water that goes to waste in Konkan area, 175 TMC will be diverted into Godavari river basin.
The yatra will be concluded in Solapur district in the presence of BJP president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. (UNI)
