United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson and partner Carrie Symonds have adopted a 15-week-old Jack Russell-cross named Dilyn to promote the British Parliament’s newly proposed Lucy’s Law that will come into force in year 2020.
The law calls for a crackdown on puppy farms and requires animals to be born and reared in a safe environment, with their mother, and to be sold from their place of birth.
BBC quoted a spokesman for the Prime Minister said, “The PM has always been a passionate supporter of animal welfare and believes in giving animals the best start in life.”
“Both Boris and Carrie are massive dog lovers,” TV vet Marc Abraham said.
Number 10 Downing Street, official residence of PM is also home to Larry the cat, who is a Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office. (UNI)
