Floral tributes were paid to “Bharat Ratna” Mother Teresa on her death anniversary Poduchery on Thursday. Chief Minister V Narayanasamy garlanded the statue of Mother Teresa.
Several Christian priests and nuns also paid floral tributes to a decorated portrait of Mother Teresa kept at the pedestal of her statue to mark the occasion. Meanwhile, rich tributes were also paid to freedom fighter V O Chidambaram Pillai, fondly known as V O C on his birth anniversary here .
Narayansamy, on behalf of the government, garlanded the statue of VOC inside the Bharathi park. (UNI)
