Pratapgarh, Dec 5 (UNI) Illegal liquor of worth Rs 60 lakh was recovered from a truck by the police in the Aaspur Devsara police station area here, police sources said on Wednesday. Sources here said that upon receiving a tip-off, the Aaspur-Devsara police stopped and carried out a check on a truck near the Dhakwa border on Tuesday night. Upon checking, the police recovered liquor worth Rs 60 lakh, which was kept hidden in sacks of a certain type of whitewash material in the truck. Police said that the liquor was being carried from Punjab to Bihar. The driver and one other person managed to flee from the spot. The police is currently looking out for the absconding people.
