AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday lambasted the BJP government for deciding to confer the prestigious Bharat Ratna on Veer Savarkar.
Calling him ‘one of the conspirators’ in the assassination of the father of nation, the Hyderabad MP said Savarkar’s name was indicted in justice Kapoor Commission’s report as the main conspirator in the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.
“How can the government confer Bharat Ratna on one of the conspirators of Gandhi’s assassination?”, he wondered while campaigning here. (UNI)
