Panaji, Nov 5 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said that seven Goan movies would be screened under the special Goan section during the 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which begins from November 20, 2019. In a series of tweets, the Chief Minister said in this 50th edition of IFFI, additional three screens at Inox Porvorim were being taken to showcase more number of movies than previous editions.
Further for general public, one open air screen would be put up at Miramar beach, thereby enhancing the total capacity by around 1600 seats, he said, adding popular movies would also be screened in different Talukas in some of the Ravindra Bhawans.
The Chief Minister attended a steering committee for IFFI in New Delhi on Monday. The meeting was chaired by Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and him. The meeting was held to review preparation of Golden Jubilee edition of IFFI beginning from November 20, 2019.
