Bhubaneswar, Nov 15 : A pregnant woman travelling from Bangalore to her home town in Guwahati by Bangalore-Guwahati Express train today gave birth to three premature babies at Jajpur-Keonjhar Road Railway Station. East Coast Railway(ECoR) sources here said while the woman Munzila Khatun (29) is stated to be in good condition, two of her babies died. The Railway sources said she gave birth to triplets in the running train at Jajpur Keonjhar Railway station.
“The patient got down at Bhadrak Railway Station and attended by Railway doctors’’. Additional Chief Medical Superintendent, Bhadrak along with nursing and paramedical staff attended her. Out of three, one baby was alive and after umbilical cord-cutting and dressing, mother and living baby were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Bhadrak by 108 Ambulance. The condition of the mother was stated to be stable at the time of shifting, the ECoR sources said.
