Protest against the cabinet minister Pradeep Maharathy gained further momentum on Thursday as the Mahila Congress cadre in a bid to force his resignation from the ministry ‘gheraoed’ the chief minister residence. Earlier they had done it at Maharathy’s residence throwing eggs and tomatoes after which the latter had tendered an apology through the media.
