Delhi Fire Services get 45 distress calls

N-E Delhi violence: Plea seeks compensation, politicians' arrest

New Delhi : The Delhi Fire Services on Tuesday said that they received a total of 45 distress calls from the areas that were gripped by violence between pro and anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protesters .

According to Atul Garg, Director, Delhi Fire Service, ” Total 45 fire calls were received, one fire tender was stoned and one was completely burnt. Three firemen got injured.”

Several areas in north east Delhi for the past two days have been witnessing violence between the two groups of protesters.

Eight companies of the CRPF were deployed in violence-hit areas on Monday, including Maujpur and Jaffrabad, following the violent protests.
