Taking part at a huge ‘kissan samabesh’ in Bargarh the chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday said that the State backed KALIA scheme is far better than the centrally sponsored Kissan Yojna. The CM also inaugurated the Sohela- Nuapada Biju Express way and also laid the foundation stone for the Gangadhar Meher Lift Irrigation project. Besides that the chief minister also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated projects worth Rs21,000 cr. Playing to the local sentiments Patnaik also announced a sanction of Rs.25 lakh for the Haladhar Nag Koshali, Sambalpuri Research centre in addition he promised setting up of the Tata Cancer treatment hospital and rejuvenation of the Baragarh Sugar Mill.
