Good gesture: Imran Khan waives two requirements for Indian Sikhs "coming for pilgrimage" to Kartarpur

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday waived off two key requirements for Sikhs “coming for pilgrimage to Kartarpur from India” and also said that no fee would be charged on the day of inauguration and on Guru Nanak Devji’s 550th birthday.

“For Sikhs coming for pilgrimage to Kartarpur from India, I have waived off two requirements, they wont need a passport – just a valid ID; they no longer have to register 10 days in advance,”  Khan tweeted. He also announced that “no fee” would be charged on day of inauguration and on Guru Nanak Devji’s 550th birthday.

India has handed over Pakistan the first official list of 480 people interested in visiting the Sikh shrine in Pakistan on November 9. Briefing media, MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said in Delhi on Thursday that New Delhi has not received any response from Islamabad regarding the approval of the list. (UNI)
