World’s largest film festival for children to start on November 20

Showcasing 150 films in 35 languages from 40 countries, the fourth edition of India International Kids Film Festival – IKFF – will be underway from November 20 to December 20.

Being hosted in virtual mode in view of the ongoing pandemic, this global event is being hosted digitally on KRAYON App for children.

Krayon is India’s exclusive video platform for a student’s overall development.

The festival endeavours to introduce kids to the magic of films and utilize its power to educate and inspire, the hosts stated.

Since the festival will be hosted online, this will give the children from all over the world an opportunity to watch award winning children’s films and learn nuances of film making and media from industry experts through specially curated workshops, they added.

IKFF 2020 will be the world’s largest event of its kind that is targeting over 5 million school students and their families, the hosts claimed.

The month long festival includes film screenings, master classes on film-making, students’ film-making Competition.

Celebrities like Sonali Bendre, Nandita Das, Smriti Kiran and Mikey Pandey have been a part of the Jury for the festival, it was learnt.

IKFF is an attempt to bring to the fore such films that are creatively acclaimed and deserve to be watched by children all over the globe, the hosts’ statement maintained.
