Kamal Nath’s nephew Ratul Puri arrested in 354 cr bank fraud case

Ratul Puri, nephew of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with his alleged role in 354 crore bank fraud case, a probe agency official said here on Tuesday.

Puri was the executive director of Moser Baer company and resigned in 2013.
A criminal case was filed by the CBI on August 18 following which the Enforcement Directorate arrested Puri under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Multiple raids were conducted in the NCR region following a complaint lodged by the Central Bank of India.

His father and Moser Baer firm promoter Deepak Puri, mother Nita Puri and others were also booked by the CBI in this case. The said bank in its complaint said that the Moser Baer India Limited and it’s directors used forged documents to get huge funds released from the bank. Ratul Puri is also being questioned in AgustaWestland chopper scam.   (UNI)
