Addressing a press conference in the city,  Javadekar said this year’s IFFI would be special as it was 150th birth anniversary of Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi and an event would be dedicated to him.

“In steering committee Karan Johar, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Feroz Abbas Khan, Subhash Ghai have already confirmed and two three names will be added. They will steer the whole thing because it has to be a professional show. This is important because it is 150th (birth) anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi,”  Javdekar said, adding Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President John Bailey had confirmed to attend the event to be held from November 20-28, 2019.

Stating that it was good to showcase latest film technologies, he said the event would have a business exhibition this year and also an exhibition of Gandhi ‘Gandhi150’.
