'Sidhu's resignation today is anti-India stance," says Delhi MLA Sirsa

Delhi MLA and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) leader Maninder Singh Sirsa on Sunday flayed Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu for deciding to tender resignation as Punjab Minister coinciding with Kartarpur talks.

“Aaj ka din hee kyon chuna (Why he had to resign only)….he wants to deviate people’s attention from Kartarpur talks,” Sirsa said in a video message on Twitter.
“Today is not working day; but a holiday,” said the Akali Dal leader.
In the micro blogging site, he further wrote: “Navjot Singh Sidhu has timed to make his resignation public now to sabotage the meet of Indo-Pak leaders on Kartarpur Corridor. Sidhu once again toes Congress party’s line and works against the interest of Sikhs”.

“His resignation timing is anti-India just like his hug to General Bajwa was,” wrote Mr Sirsa, who represents Rajouri Garden assembly seat in Delhi legislature.
In a twitter missive  Sidhu earlier in the day has resigned as minister from the Punjab cabinet.
“I hereby resign an Minister from the Punjab Cabinet,” the 55-year-old leader said adding “Will be sending my resignation to the Chief Minister, Punjab”.
