Prime minister Narendra Modi has hit out at the opposition for trying to play up caste politics and said that the opposition just have one slogan of ‘ Modi hatao’ without having anything concrete for the country’s progress.

“Opposition’s only agenda is ‘Modi Hatao’ (remove Modi), only intention is to promote ‘vansvaad’ (dynastic politics) while we are trying to eradicate corruption and corrupt people,” PM said.

“Saharanpur is being termed as a new political laboratory which is unfortunate. Here a new caste equation is being formed by the vested forces,” he said while hitting out at the RLD chief Ajit Singh and even saying that Choudhury Charan Singh, who is in the heaven, too would be sad to see how his family was ruining the farmer community.

“The opposition questions about our defence personal and their action. What they are trying to do to question the intregrity of our jawans who are sacrificing their lives to save our country. The jawans martyred on the borders, are not recognised with their caste but they are putting their lives for the country,” he said.

Addressing Vijay Sankalp ralllies at Nanauta in Saharanpur and at Gajraula in Amorha on Friday, PM Modi said his government had always protected the interest of the backwards. ” But do you know that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had opposed the Mandal Commission report,” he said.

The PM also hit out at the Congress candidate from Saharanpur Imran Masood, who had said once of Boti-boti during his speech.”Rahul Gandhi has special love for some people. While they chant ‘boti-boti’, our response is ‘beti-beti’ as we want to work for the upliftment of our daughters,” he said. He also raised how Congress Manifesto says about weakening the cases against women atrocities and will get bail.” Do you want that the demons who burn their daughter-in-law for dowry should get reprive,” he questioned to the people.

“For Muslim sisters, they have been released from triple talaq. I want to tell my Muslim sisters, the opposition will never allow law against triple talaq and will ensure that is never passed. We are the ones who respect our daughters,” he said while adding that after the BJP government came to power in UP, the atmosphere of migration and fear is over. “That is why the (opposition) is playing the politics of vote bank. For your chowkidar, be it farmer, armed forces personnel or anyone else, we are working for everyone’s prosperity,” he further said.

Mr Modi also criticised BSP president for criticising his act to clean the feet of the cleaning personals in Kumbh. “When I washed the feet of those associated with cleanliness at Kumbh and gave them respect in my own way, Behanji criticised me immediately. But she never said a word when the Congress insulted the cleanliness workers,” he said.

Earlier during his election rally in Amroha, the PM stressing the need for a strong and able government in the country for keeping the national tri-colour flying, hit out at the opposition, particularly the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress for being soft on terror.

The Prime Minister said, “Replying to terrorists in their own language is not being liked by some people. When India hits back at the enemy, some people start crying. When Pakistan is being exposed in front of the world, these people start speaking in support of Pakistan.”

‘The soft attitude of Congress, SP and BSP emboldened the terrorists, leading to several terror attacks in UP and other parts of the country,’ he added.

‘But now attacks have stopped in past five years because you have appointed a chowkidar in Delhi. Terrorists know Modi will go after them even in hell,’ he said.

He even questioned the people,” Should we talk to militants? Should we not send them to jail?”

Mr Modi further said, ‘Retaliating to terrorists is not liked by some people in our country, when Pak is getting exposed in the world, these people are siding with Pakistan.”

Appealing to the people to support the BJP in making a strong government with full majority at the Centre, he said, ‘It was the support of the people in 2014 that now the country has turned into a big force in the world and no one can threat us anymore.’

“We have to move forward together for the development of the country, Some people are trying to create a divide on the basis of caste, you need to be aware of them,” Mr Modi added.

But he also said, “Vote bank politics has hurt the country. In SP rule, criminals were roaming freely in western UP. But today, the BJP government has put it to an end. We have warned them to mend their ways or they’ll be jailed.”

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of late Congress leader Babu Jagjivan Ram, Mr Modi paid tribute to him.

The PM said, ‘Congress had always opposed the great Dalit leaders to safeguard one family.’

“Congress party insulted BR Ambedkar and fielded candidate against him during elections because he had challenged that one family,” he said, adding that Congress leaders are only worried about one family.

“Chowkidar’s government has protected the interests of everyone, be it farmers or anyone else. Yogi govt is working towards it. More than two crore farmers families of UP are getting direct benefit every year. I have never claimed that I have fulfilled every promise but  I am working day-night to make your life easy,” he said.

Mr Modi said that a wave is sweeping across the country for a strong and able government and people have made up their minds to see a government which can reply to any internal or external aggression.

During the rally, he also thanked the UAE government for giving him the highest citizen award the Zayed medal, on Thursday.” Your Pradhan Sevak was awarded the top civilian award by UAE. I thank the government of UAE. This is an achievement for India, not me. Says a strong government is must to take India ahead in the world,” he further said. (UNI)
