(UNI) The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will be launching a satellite being built by the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) and California Institute of Technology
(CIT) which would be a test bed for a new type of space telescope. According to ISRO sources, the satellite being designed and built by CIT students in collaboration with IIST and Surrey Space Centre in
England, would serve as a test bed for a new type of space telescope called Autonomous Assembly of a Reconfigurable Space Telescope (AAReST). The IIST is an autonomous body under the Department of Space and was a Deemed University.
