CJI Ranjan recuses from hearing plea challenging appointment of Rao as interim CBI chief

Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi on Monday recused himself from hearing a petition in the Supreme Court challenging appointment of M Nageshwar Rao as CBI interim director.
As soon as the plea  came up for hearing before the bench led  by  CJI, he recused himself from the case because he was in selection committee for the Director of CBI. (UNI)
