Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the officials, here on Friday, to probe into spurious liquor.
He took a serious note on the death of over 9 people after consuming spurious liquor in Kushinagar and Saharanpur districts during the past couple of days and directed that proper medical care be ensured in the affected persons.
He directed the Principal Secretary Excise to take departmental action both District Excise Officers and directed a 15-day joint operation of Excise and Police to take action against spurious liquor operatives.
A report from Kushinagar said that seven people have died after consuming spurious liquor in the past 48 hours.
Besides in Saharanpur, two people have died after consuming hooch on Thursday.
