Sharan-Erlich wins first round of doubles match

Divij Sharan of India, pairing with Jonathan Erlich of Israel upset fourth seeded Ben Mclachlan of Japan and John-Patrick Smith of Australia 7-5, 6-1 in doubles match in the $ 762, 455 ATP World Tour 250 (Los Cabos Open) in Mexico in one hour and 16 minutes.
Mixed Luck for Indians
Indian players had mixed fortune in the singles second round matches of the $ 135,400 ATP Challenger in Chengdu (China). Eighth seed Myneni Saketh (India) defeated Qualifier Matsui Toshihide (Japan) 6-3, 0-0 retired while seventh seeded Oliveira Gioncalo of Portugal dis;posed of the challenge of Arjun Khade 7-6 (4), 6-3.
The Myneni-Matsui match lasted 38 minutes. After losing the first set 3-6, Matsui retired due to injury.

Balaji-Vishnu win
Third seeded Indian pair of N Sriram Balaji and Vishnu Vardhan worked hard to get the better of French combination of Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul by 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 in the doubles first round match in the €46,600 Svijany Open ATP Challenger in Liberec (Czech Republic).
After winning the first set at 6-4, the Indian pair lost the second set at 3-6 to be tied one-set all. In the match tie-breaker, however, Balaji and Vardhan were again took control of the situation and won the tie-breaker by 10-6 and clinched the second round spot.
The Indian duo won 52 per cent total points (64/123) in the match which lasted one hour and 20 minutes. Their opponents won 59 points out of total 123 (48 per cent).
