Leopard Skin Smuggling: Ratnakar Sahoo, who was arrested by STF Bhubaneswar from Gambharimunda area under Banpur PS of Khordha District 3 years ago on the charge of illegal transportation of leopard skin, has been found guilty on Wednesday by Banpur JMFC, Snataki Dash, who sentenced the accused to 3 years of rigorous imprisonment with a fine of 10,000 rupees.
According to information, on December 29, 2021, accused Ratnakar was arrested from Gambharimunda Road along with leopard skin by STF Bhubaneswar. While the hearing of the said case is continuing in Banpur JMFC Court , the accused has been convicted on the strength of 10 witnesses and 24 documents. The case was handled by APP Banpur JMFC Court Prachiprabha Swain and Jaladhar Pradhan. (Report- Sitaram Agrwal, Banpur)
