BJP’s Historic Delhi Victory: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the BJP’s strong performance in the ongoing Delhi Assembly Elections, describing it as a victory for governance and development.
Taking to X, PM Modi expressed his gratitude to the people of Delhi for their overwhelming support and said, “Jana Shakti is paramount! Development wins, good governance triumphs. I bow to my dear sisters and brothers of Delhi for this resounding and historic mandate to BJP. We are humbled and honoured to receive these blessings.”
PM Modi further assured that the BJP would leave no stone unturned in improving the city’s development and the overall quality of life for its people. “It is our guarantee that we will leave no stone unturned in developing Delhi, improving the overall quality of life for the people, and ensuring that Delhi has a prime role to play in building a Viksit Bharat,” he added.
As of 3:00 PM, according to the Election Commission of India, the BJP was leading in 47 seats, moving closer to regaining control of Delhi after 27 years. The BJP has won 22 seats so far and is leading in 25 others. Meanwhile, the AAP has secured 11 seats and is ahead in 12.
With the halfway mark set at 36 for the 70-member Delhi Assembly, the BJP appears well on its way to forming the next government in the national capital as the counting continues.
