It is not alone in the Biju Janata Dal that the fire of revolt by the leaders denied ticket has stuck its neck out but, now it has been seen in the Bharatiya Janata Party where rebellion against few changes has come out to the open, rather unprecedentedly. In the Bhubaneswar BJP office the supporters of the BJP leaders Amiya Das created a scene for over denying their leader the ticket from the Ekamra assembly segment in Bhubaneswar lok sabha constituency. The protest became so intense that the supporters raisng slogans against the state leaders eventually locked the main gate of the State party office for a day almost. The protest however still goews on demanding the new candidate Babu Singh who had joined the BJP about three days back after resigning from the BJD .
While in the Khariar assembly segment similar protest has started where the sitting MLA has been replaced by someone else .
In Koraput distrct’s Laxmipur segment also angry cadres have set on fire properties of the offices protesting selection of candidate.
Over the candidature for the Lok sabha seat of Kalahandi it seems the party finds it difficult to settle for any candidate as the state BJP president Basant Panda has expressed his willingness to contest from that lok sabha seat. Whereas, the party has someone else in its mind.
