The process of filing nominations for the 7th phase and last phase of Lok Sabha election involving eight out of 40 seats in Bihar scheduled on May 19 commenced in Bihar with the issuance of notification today.
State Election Office sources said that the election would be held in eight constituencies of Nalanda, Patna Sahib, Patliputra, Ara, Buxar, Sasaram, Karakat and Jehanabad.
The last date for filing of nominations is April 29 while scrutiny of nominations will be held on April 30. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is May 2. The counting of votes will be done on May 23.
In Nalanda Lok Sabha constituency, total number of polling booths is 2248 while that of total voters is 2102410 comprising 1114006 male voters and 988325 female voters. (UNI)
