Cyclone Fani, which is yet about 360 kms from Odisha coast heading at a speed of 16 kmsan hour, is likely to make the landfall near Puri coast between 10 am to 12 noon on Friday.
According to the latest bulletin from the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), Fani after the land fall on Friday the wind speed is like to reach 170 to 180 kmph or more which may cause severe damage in and around the coast and may take the localities into its grip. The state machinery is making all out efforts to relocate people from their places to safer locations as soon as possible.
However, no exact location for the land fall has been forecast so far but the fall is expected along the coast of Puri, the SRC informed.
