A Couple of hardcore ultras belonging to the Sidho Koda squad of the CPI(Maoists) have been arrested from Harkund under Bhelwaghati Police Station area of this district. The arrested Maoists have been identified as Sunil Hembrom and Prem Soren both hailing from Chakai Police Station area of Jamui district of Bihar. From the arrested a loaded desi Katta, 54 live cartridges, detonators 7, codex wire 13 metres, fuse wire 18 meters, explosives 1.2 kilograms and a bike has been seized.
Police said that Giridih SP Surendra Kumar Jha had received a tip-off regarding the movement of Sidho Koda squad in the bordering areas of Jharkhand and Bihar. After which a joint team of CRPF and district police of Giridih and Jamui conducted search operations and arrested the duo while they were trying to flee after seeing the police at Harkund. SP Giridih said that both the ultras have been brought to Bhelwaghati Police Station where they are being questioned. (UNI)
