‘Language corrupts politics’ and that comes true through what happened in Poducherry where a wordy battle between the chief minister and the Lt.Gov has turned to become an unsavory chapter for any civilized political system.
Taking exception to Chief Minister V Narayanasamy describing her as a ‘Demon’, Lt.GoverNor Kiran Bedi on Friday said the expression of ‘Demon’ used by the former is ‘unparliamentary’, uncalled for’, ‘uncivilized’, ‘uncouth’ and ‘unacceptable’.
Narayanasamy while addressing a function a PCC office here on Thursday reportedly described Bedi as a Demon.
In a Whatsapp message, the Lt.Governor said that public officials are duty bound to do their maximum best for the people withing financial constrains while observing due process in a manner which benefits people without any leakage in transmission.
They may not always be publically explaining the beneficiaries what is being done for their good, how and why. Hence, they may not get to know the full facts, Ms Bedi maintained.
